During the workshop we’ll experiment with different iterations of writing exercises that are inspired by Astrida Neimanis’ method of weather writing.
Through different modalities of writing outside and inside, individually and collaboratively, we’ll explore how to attune our human bodies to the weather-world and get more attentive to the climatic environments that we’re entangled in. An experiment in paying attention, listening to, and listening with our peers, pens and the other-than-human world, the seminar will enable us to look at the weather as an experience, by loosely following simple prompts. A short introduction to Astrida Neimanis’ work and the concept of weather writing will be given.
